Elegy In The Classroom - Élégie dans la classe
Excerpt
In the thin classroom, where your face
was noble and your words were all things,
I find this boily creature in your place;
find you disarranged, squatting on the window sill,
irrefutably placed up there,
like a hunk of some big frog
watching us through the V
of your woolen legs.

je trouve cette créature bouillonneuse à votre place ;

Avancer coûte que coûte - Moving on no matter what
Excerpt
Extrait
She had to learn to live with that pain deep in her heart and move on regardless. If it were not for her, she at least owed it to Pip.
Text : Danielle Steel. À bon port, 10/2010.

Le temps passe vite - Time goes fast
Excerpt
Extrait
It's good for my work... Anyway that's what I like to believe. And the city is not that far. I can go there whenever I want. In saying this, he realized that he had not set foot there for over a year. How time goes fast ... faster than you think.
Text : Danielle Steel. À bon port, 10/2010.

Cœur brisé - Broken heart
Excerpt
Extrait
Her voice, her skin, her smell, her appearance, everything was the same, yet deep down inside herself, nothing was as before. How she thought, her reactions, her emotions had been permanently damaged, they both were aware of it.

Bisou sur la joue - Kiss on the cheek
Excerpt
Extrait
She kissed him on the cheek and then slipped away quickly, avoiding Mousse who wagged her tail on her way.
On the deck, the wood was perfectly glazed and the brass instruments gleamed.

Petits vauriens - Little rascals
Excerpt

That was precisely the problem with children, he thought, helping himself with a glass of wine. They always find the path to your soul, just like that, without seeming to, like the thorn that slips under your nail, and it hurts like hell when it comes to root them out.

The Ballad of the Lonely Masturbator - La ballade de la masturbatrice solitaire
Excerpt
The end of the affair is always death.
She’s my workshop. Slippery eye,
out of the tribe of myself my breath
finds you gone. I horrify
those who stand by. I am fed.
At night, alone, I marry the bed.

The Starry Night - La nuit étoilée
Excerpt
The town does not exist
except where one black-haired tree slips
up like a drowned woman into the hot sky.
The town is silent. The night boils with eleven stars.
Oh starry starry night! This is how
I want to die.
